This is my motto and I'm sticking to it :D To say I'm not tidy is the understatement of the year. Never have been, never will be. Oh, I have good intentions, but you know what they say about them. But I decided today that I would make an attempt to 'straighten up'. To say I need to 'straighten up' is like saying the Titanic had a small leak. So I do a little, then have to 'rest'. Resting is a very good thing. Resting actually means sitting on your butt in front of the computer. Or watching Jerry Springer. Either one will fit the bill of 'resting'. Then I do a little more, and, YAY, it's time to rest again. But I digress. So I actually have gotten quite a lot accomplished. Which means I will never find anything again. But when I do stumble upon something, it will be like Christmas. "I forgot I had this!!"

So, on to the creative mind thing. I have all these ideas but it seems I'm always missing one thing to actually do the project. I generally find this out when I've gathered the other things I need for the project. So I think I'll get the one thing next time I go to the store and get the project done. So of course, the pile of things has to stay out cause 'I'm gonna finish that'. Yea. Okay. This is why I am less than tidy. Jewelry stuff here. Embroidery stuff there. Cameo things over yonder. Assorted other crafts under the table. I wish I could be all neat and organized. I would love have one of those craft rooms you see in magazines. But I have to ask myself if anyone out of those magazines actually DOES anything. I mean, how can you create with all that neatness around?

So anyway, I started this blog a few hours ago. I am proud to report that I have actually put some stuff away and can walk through the room without having to follow a path LOL Yay me!

And on that happy note, I'm off to find some chocolate.

Til later,
And can't rest yet! Oy! Okay, last Monday we had major scary storms with torrential rains, so I didn't go to dialysis. I went on Tuesday. And on Wednesday. Thursday we had a new fridge delivered, so I had to unload the fridge and freezer, and then reload the new one. Friday was dialysis. My mother and sister picked me up after treatment and we headed out to South Carolina to visit my niece and her little boy. She just bought her first house! I'm so very happy for her and so proud of her! The house is big - eat in kitchen, dining room, den, living room, 4 bedrooms, front porch, screened in back porch, finished basement and 2 1/2 baths. And a patio. By the pool. Yes, a pool! We spent til 10 or 11 each night floating around in it. With glow sticks. We had a majorly good time. On the way home, we stopped at a peach orchard and got fresh peaches, and of course we had to stop in Gaffney (Home of the Big Peach!) at Hamrick's, where I got 3 pairs of shoes, and a couple of Christmas presents. Never too soon to shop for Christmas! Here's a picture of the Big Peach :)

Oh yea, I was talking about being tired. Ok, so Monday we drove/shopped all day. Since I couldn't go to dialysis Monday, I went yesterday and today. Tomorrow I have to go to the hospital for a fistulagram, and Friday I have dialysis again. Saturday I am going to SLEEP! ALL day! Janie Mae may or may not join me. Her choice. But my butt WILL be in the bed a large portion of the day.

I have not been able to do crafty stuff in nearly two weeks. I'm suffering withdrawals! I have a bracelet partially done but I haven't had a chance to get back to it. So hopefully in the next week I'll get my mojo back and git-r-done.

But for now, I think I'll go talk to the Sandman. And watch The Golden Girls til I fall asleep. Without Janie Mae.

My poor blog feels so abandoned, and I really have no excuse other than.....wait, I'm thinking..ummmmmm......errrrrr.......ok, I have NO excuse.. Moving on!

So what's been going on in my lilac world? Well, I've really been into beading lately. Bracelets. Earrings. More bracelets. More earrings. There are beads everywhere. But I've really been having fun with them. Now the Cameo feels abandoned. I have such a hard time keeping all the 'kids' happy.

At the beginning of May, Mama and my sister and I went to Florida to visit our friends Bonnie and Polly. We hopped in my sister's big black truck and took off. We drove about 6 hours to Savannah, GA, and spent the night, then the next morning drove the remaining 6 hours to Homosassa, FL. What a fun trip we had! Of course, the best part was hanging out with Bonnie and Polly and Bonnie's sister, Betty. The best social worker in the world, Shirley, had made arrangements for me to have my dialysis down there and it went off without a hitch! Other than the fact that I had to be there at 6 in the morning!!!! Ack! But we did some way fun stuff while there. We ate the best fried green tomatoes I have EVER had, and I'm a Southern girl, so I know fried green tomatoes. We rode around and looked at cool stuff. We went on an airboat tour which was WAY fun. We saw sponges. We saw coral. We saw jumping dolphins. We rode over grass. It was way fun. Here is a picture of a sponge.

See those orange blobs? Those are sponges! At this part of the Gulf of Mexico, the land only drops an inch a mile. So we were maybe 5 miles out from land. We also saw osprey nests. With ospreys in them!

Then we went to Dade City Wild Things, which is basically a zoo. Lions and tigers. No bears, oh my! But they did have a zebra :) And we fed a baby buffalo. But the MOST fun part was when we got to play with a 3 week old Siberian tiger baby. I wanted to bring her home!!! She was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. :D

How do you like my butterfly ring???

Even at that little bitty size, her roar was fear inducing. She 'meowed' a couple of times and it was SO loud! Made me jump :)

I'll do some more catching up on the blog tomorrow. Maybe. If the beads or the Cameo or the embroidery machine or the sewing machine or the serger or Jerry Springer doesn't get in the way.

Til later,
It is deliciously tempting. Spring is waving her lusciousness in front of us. And speaking of spring, yesterday at D Day, one of the other patients and I were gardening. Oh, we grew roses, tulips, azaleas, camellias, gardenias, phlox, wisteria and multitudes of other things. I wish I had all that going on in my yard :D It's fun to discuss your interests with those who share said interests.

Right now, I'm watching The Barefoot Contessa. I just love watching her show. But she's cruel. Cruel, do you hear!? She is making DONUTS!!!!! Cinnamon donuts. I want some! Sigh.

Let's catch you up on what I've been doing. Ok, not a whole lot of anything, really. I couldn't go to D Day Friday because of the snow and sleet we had, so I had to go Saturday. Mama and my sister Debra picked me up after D Day and we went to Cookout and had lunch. Yea, buddy - hamburgers! I am the original hamburger kid. I could eat a hamburger anywhere, any time. But don't give me any of those hoity toity designer hamburgers. Meat, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, onion, cheddar cheese and tomato on a bun. That's it. Heaven on a bun. Oh yea. I reallllllllllly wanted a milkshake, cause Cookout makes awesome peanut butter shakes, but I was good and didn't get one. I feel so righteous.

Saturday night/Sunday morning we sprang forward. I sprang into my bed and stayed there til 1:15. P.M. Yes, in the afternoon. I haven't slept that late in forever. It sure did feel good. I continued the day by doing nothing. And that sure felt good, too :) Yesterday was D Day and last night I just goofed around online and chatted with my friend Steve. He was ebaying while I surfed the net. Today I haven't done much. Mama is not feeling well, so I've been playing nurse and trying to keep her hydrated.

I'm thinking of making my world famous - ok, only famous to me - spaghetti sauce for dinner. Then again, perhaps a hardy pan of goulash. Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions. Then AGAIN, I may do hamburger steaks with camelized onions and a side of yellow squash. That sounds good, too.

Janie Mae is just having a terrible time. She wants to eat and I won't feed her. Now don't get me wrong. I am not starving her. She's already been fed. She just wants more and I won't give it to her til it's time for her din-din. She's tried looking pitiful, looking mean, being cute, meowing, stomping around, trying to lead me to the food bowl......but alas, none of it has worked. She is now sitting and staring at me. It's actually pretty funny. Uh oh, here come the pitiful I-can-barely-stay-upright meows. Too bad she has another couple hours before dinner.

I think I'll go fire up the Cameo. I think it's feeling abandoned.

Til later,
I hardly know what day it is. Tomorrow IS Friday, isn't it?

Let's start with last week. Our friends Bonnie and Polly came up from Florida, stopping by here on their way to Maryland. They are a blast and I love hanging out with them. They blew into town on Wednesday and we met them for dinner, where we regaled the other diners with much snorting and howls of laughter. Thursday we all piled into Bonnie's van and took off for Forest, VA, where we invaded the Virginia Candle Company outlet store. Oh, it's heaven in there! And such bargains! I could care less if my candle has a label on it, and if I can save 75% on the candles, then I'm all for it :) I did, however, restrain myself, and only bought 5 candles (2 of which WERE 75% off! SCORE!) and 1 reed diffuser (also 75% off :D) After the candle stop, we went on to Bedford, VA, where we had lunch at the old Liberty Train Station. It was indeed a train station in its former life, and while freight trains still go by, passenger trains do not. So the old depot was turned into a restaurant and they do have yummy food. I surprised everyone by NOT getting what I usually do, which is a Greek Steak salad that is to die for. I also surprised everyone by not getting a hamburger. I am the original hamburger kid. I can eat a hamburger any time. ANY time. And like it :) Soooooooo I got a chicken panini, which was good but Polly got a hamburger and I was immediately jealous and shot daggers with my eyes at her but she didn't seem to notice. After lunch, it was time to head to Mountain Produce. Now, you wouldn't look twice at this little place. Handmade sign. Couple of older vehicles out front. Just looks like some old run down place. WELL, we found it a few years ago while we were on our way back from a day trip to The Peaks of Otter, and we wanted something to drink and we stopped at this place. You open the door and your olfactory senses are assailed by.......apple pie???? Oh yes, please! They make regular pies, hand pies, breads. Yummy, yummy, stuff, and they also sell all kinds of cider, apple included as well as blackberry, scupernong, cherry....you get the picture. They sell old fashioned candies. They sell jams. They sell ice cream. They sell soft drinks. But the hand pies. THESE. ARE. TO. DIE. FOR. Perfectly fried. The perfect combination of cinnamon to apple. STUFFED with the perfect combination of cinnamon and apples. Oh my. Each one lovingly wrapped in saran wrap, it taunts you with its little bits of glistening apple filling shining through. You hear it calling you......come eat me. Come eat me. COME EAT ME! However, if you can restrain yourself until you're home, throw that baby in the microwave for about 10 seconds and plop a bigass scoop of vanilla ice cream on it. You will see rainbows and hear angels sing. I promise. It's THAT good.

Now that I've told you the good stuff about the week, let me tell you the not so good. So Monday morning we awake to snow, sleet and freezing rain. Lovely. No D Day for me that day. So I call the clinic to tell them I won't be there and they tell me to call Tuesday morning cause they don't know if they're going to be open or not. Greeeeeat. Tuesday morning arrives and the falling weather has stopped but of course our little town has not salted, sanded or plowed the roads. So while the main roads may be ok, I can't get TO the main road. Not only has our little street not been cleared, there is a hill no matter which way I try to go. So Tuesday is spent watching Jerry Springer and Maury and napping. So I wobble into D Day yesterday but surprisingly didn't have THAT much fluid on, considering it had been 4 days since I'd had a treatment. I don't advise normally going 4 days between treatments. Not a good thing. But I did ok and had no problems with my treatment. I stayed on the machine about 15 minutes longer than I normally do to get just that much more fluid off. And YAY, no cramps, no drop in BP or any other funky stuff.

Did I mention that tonight's forecast is..........snow/sleet/freezing rain? No? Well.....it is!! Aiiiiiighhhhhh. Hopefully they're wrong and the roads will be fine and I can go to D Day and not have to wait til Saturday. Guess I'll hold off on that extra glass of honey crisp apple juice I was gonna have.

Keep warm and go craft something nifty!

Til later,
This time last week we had 10 inches of snow and ice and today it's almost 70 degrees and we had a massive thunderstorm. Been a few days since I posted, so let me fill you in on what's been going on.

Ok, not really a lot has been going on. BUT.....good news from the kitty kingdom. Janie Mae, as you know, is Queen of the Castle. However, she used to share that title with Dolly Sue, aka Chubb B. Butt. Chubb and Janie Mae shared space on my bed and both wanted to be petted at the same time. Chubb had this cute thing she'd do where, while I was scratching her head, she'd fall over on her side and fling her hind leg out for me to rub her belly. Well, a few months ago, Chubb went out and didn't come home. I was so upset. I just knew something had happened to her. We have this less than nice neighbor who threatened all the cats in the neighborhood and I was afraid he had done something to her. ANYway, Tuesday morning, who strolls in for breakfast but Chubb B. Butt!!!!! She ate breakfast and then came in and hopped up on the bed. Well, of COURSE I had to pet her. And she fell over on her side and flung her leg out!! I was so tickled. Doesn't take much to make me happy, eh? She hasn't spent the night here yet, but she's been home every day since then. I sure hope it continues :D

In other breaking news.........wait, there is none. But I have a new passion of the week - making paper flowers. Now, I'm not talking about the big poofy flowers you used to make from crepe paper (am I giving away my age here??) but beautiful flowers made from card stock, cut with my Cameo. It's not complete yet, but I have to show you some I'm working on.

Daffodils!!! I still have to make leaves and put stems on but I just love the way they're turning out. I cut them out of a bright, happy yellow cardstock and I chalked the cups with orange chalk. I'm also working on some roses and day lilies. I got the cut files from TheKraftShak page on Facebook, so if you're into Cameos and flowers, be sure and check it out and tell Christy that Morado sent you :)

Tomorrow is a trip to Walmart. Woohoo! No, seriously, I HAVE to go to Walmart. I need glue!!!!!! Gotta make more flowers and I need some florists' tape for the stems. So you see, it is imperative that I make this trip. Just. Imperative.

Got a surprise to tell you about, but I think that will keep til tomorrow.

Let me go find Janie Mae and assure her she's still Queen of the Castle.

Til later,
It's not hump day, so can't be excited that it's Wednesday. It's not Friday, so can't be excited that the weekend is nearly here. It's Thursday. Thursday-itis is just that feeling that's not really blah, not really happy happy, not really anything. You just are. So what do you do when you have Thursday-itis? Well, I fired up the computer and the Cameo. Ok, ok, the computer stays fired up most of the time anyway. You caught me. But I'm obsessed with these Pop Up Card Boxes. They are just so stinking cute. Here's another one I made.

Dontcha love red and pink together? I do. Sort of like rubies and pink tourmaline sure go good together.

I don't really have anything exciting to blog about tonight. Even less exciting then normal.

Oh! I do have something to report. A couple weeks ago, my sister and I stopped by Outback and got takeout for the two of us and our mother. Get home with it, and with drool sliding down my chin, I opened up my takeout box, where, to my surprise, my rare prime rib was not pink, but was dark brown. So I gingerly cut into it and took a bite. Holy smoke! It was so freaking hot with spice I couldn't eat it. So I decide to dive into the blooming onion. Also so hot with spice I couldn't eat it. I ended up eating the house salad and some mashed potatoes. But alas, my taste for prime rib was left unsatisfied. So I sent an email to Outback, explaining to them nicely that I was disappointed in my takeout order. Can you believe I got a phone call from the manager of the restaurant we had gone to? I was amazed! He was very nice and apologetic and tells me they have changed the recipe for the prime rib. Instead of being slow roasted, it's now got a rub on it. Anyway, after chatting a while, he told me he was going to send me something, and I got it today. He sent me a gift card. How nice! I will definitely go back to Outback, but I also will definitely not get the prime rib!!!!! But anyway, here's a shoutout to Outback, and the manager of the Danville, VA, restaurant. Thanks, Jason!

Janie Mae graced me with her presence today. It's so nice to be in the company of the Queen of the Castle. She did pat me on the butt once but I knew she was behind me so it didn't scare me. It's nice to get love pats from your pet.

This weekend is a trip to Ollie's and Big Lots. I love those places. And lunch at Mayflower, an awesome seafood restaurant. I can hear my pants getting tighter already. But it's so worth it. I can almost taste the shrimp already.

I think Janie Mae and I shall go play a game on the tablet before we turn out the light.

Sooooooooo it's Wednesday! Which means the weekend is only two days away. My sister is coming to spend the weekend and we're going to make an Ollie's, Big Lots, and Mayflower trip. Mayflower is a really really good seafood restaurant. They serve you enough food for about 3 meals and the food is wicked good. My mouth is already watering. Give me a sec to wipe up the drool.

There, that's better. So today was D Day. Again it was a rainy, blah day out, so I played on the tablet a bit, then took a nap. And when I woke up, it was time to come off the machine. Yay! Coming off the machine is always a good time. And I didn't even spring a leak. Double good time! We have to have heparin, which is a blood thinner, to keep the blood from clotting in the machine, so yes, sometimes when they pull the needles, the holes won't stop bleeding. Or they'll fool you by stopping for a few seconds and when you take the pressure off, it looks like a really bad slasher movie was just filmed around your chair. Scary looking but not really a big deal.

Now that I've left you with that mental image, let me move on to something CUTE for your eyes.

This is what I made last night when I was not blogging :) I think it turned out really cute. So cute, in fact, that I am making plans to make tons more of these cards, called Pop Up Card Box. The REALLY cool thing is that they fold flat for mailing. How awesome is that?! See, doesn't take much to make me happy or excited.

Janie Mae has once again deserted me. Which means I will not have kitty breath in my face tonight, which now that I think of it, is a great thing!

So I'm off to make more cards.

But if we didn't have 'weeks', we wouldn't enjoy the weekend so much.

So today was Dialysis Day, or we refer to it, D Day, or the even more inappropriate Funtown!!! Had a good treatment today. And Carol was back from vacation, so it was nice to chat with her. Carol is one of the nurses at Funtown. She's not only my nurse, she's my friend. We have fun discussing crafting and cooking. One of the male patients calls our chats Home Ec time LOL He gets in on the cooking discussions sometimes, too.

I thought I saw Noah out of the window today. I mean it was RAINING. Buckets and buckets. At least it's not snow :) Always a silver lining :)

I saw wild turkeys today. They were in a field I pass on the way home from Funtown. Just a couple weeks ago I saw turkeys there, too, as well as four deer. I love wildlife. Well, except for the skunks and possums that come up on the porch and eat the outside kitties' food. Did you know possums are stubborn? There was one on the porch one night and I sorta flapped at him to get him to leave and he just kept on eating. One of the cats bopped him on the head and he kept on eating. I got the flyswatter and flapped at him with that and he kept on eating. Now really, if you'd been bopped on the head and flapped at, wouldn't you leave? I'm pretty sure I would. I mean, it's not like he was pigging out on prime rib or anything. It was dry cat food. We also have a groundhog that lives in the back yard. I don't think she realized that Saturday was Groundhog Day, though, as I never saw her make an appearance. One day last summer, I was sitting on the porch, enjoying our Southern spring, and I looked in the yard and one of the kitties was sitting out there. Next to the kitty was the groundhog, also sitting. It looked like they were old friends who had met up and were passing the time of day. I wish I'd had a camera. It was so cute.

Janie Mae has graced me with her presence again. I guess she's forgiven me for whatever slight she felt I had made to her. It's a bad feeling to be snubbed by your cat.

This is Janie Mae. She has freckles on her nose. She's cute. :)
Oh, sorry. Do you like football? I can't say that it's among my favorite things. It kinda is on the list behind a no-anesthesia colonoscopy or having to spend any amount of time in the company of Justin Bieber. In fact, here's my feeling about football:

Now that we have that settled, let's move on :) So yesterday I did grocery shopping. I live in a small town. I mean small. Less than 1,000 people. But we have TWO stoplights!!!! So normally when you go to the grocery store, you don't have to worry about it being crowded. You only have to be sure there's a cashier awake to check you out. I went to Food Lion and there were a ton of people there! I kept looking for the lion, but he must have been giving his two cents' worth to someone else. I haven't gotten his two cents' worth a single time yet. So, I had to just make my own way through the store, ferreting out sales and good prices on my own. I had to pat myself on the back and feel self righteous that I passed by the Buy-One-Get-One-Free Turkey Hill ice cream. I had no idea I had such self-restraint. I also passed by the shrimp that was BOGO, since the price of a single bag had been jacked to twice what it normally is. Can't get a thing by me, you silly lion!! Your two cents' worth is apparently now inflated to about $1.98's worth.

This morning I made bacon and eggs in the NuWave Oven. Fast, easy, and really yummy. Again, I had to pat myself on the back for letting all that yummy grease from the bacon fall to the bottom of the NuWave, thereby saving myself, what, about 11,000 calories? Damn, I should have gotten that Turkey Hill. Sigh.

Since I had expended so much energy cracking eggs and opening the package of bacon and laying it out on the rack to cook, a nap seemed in order. I told myself I was just going to lie down to rest and read a magazine. I didn't even get the magazine open. When I woke up, it was laying exactly where it was when I laid down. But now I'll have something to read when I can't sleep tonight because I took a nap today. See, these things always work out. Divine intervention or something.

Janie Mae is a traitor. She has not come into my bedroom for 2 days now. No evil eye. No butt-patting. I've obviously been cast aside. And it hurts. What's a girl to do when her cat disses her? If I had gotten the Turkey Hill, I could drown my sorrow in ice cream, but nooooooo.....I had to show self restraint. So remember, kids, follow your instincts and buy ice cream when it's on sale.

I guess I'll go eat an apple.

Til later,
Even though I don't work anymore, I still love Fridays. Something about the anticipation of the weekend - maybe I'll go somewhere new! Maybe the weather will be awesome! Maybe I'll actually do something constructive! The possibilities are endless. Two whole days of possibilities. Well, first off is grocery shopping. This opens up the possibility of cooking something new for dinner. As I ramble through my recipe boards on Pinterest, I pick out 3 or 4 healthy things to consider. But I always seem to get sidetracked by something like Peanut Butter Pound Cake, Lemon Brownies (how can brownies be lemon??!?) Praline Pie....stop, stop.....I'm drooling here! Suddenly chicken doesn't sound so alluring anymore. Although - peanut chicken is one of my favorite things. Hmmmm. Might have to find a recipe for that.

Poor little T. Bat is still sneezing and not feeling good, but he's more perky than he was yesterday. He swatted Wide Load when she ran by him, so that's a good sign.

Did I tell you about Janie Mae? Janie Mae is the queen of the castle. Head Cat in Charge. She has to have a food bowl to herself, while the other kitties share a bowl. Anybody that comes near her bowl gets smacked on the head. And she can give SUCH an evil eye. Not just to the other kitties, but to me, too. Sometimes I can feel her eyes boring into my back. And sometimes she scares the crap out of me when I don't know she's behind my chair and she suddenly pats me on the behind. It's enough to make a girl wet her pants. But sometimes she's so sweet and loving. These moments do not happen often.

I am burning the most deliciously scented candle. It's from Woodwick Candles and it's called Sand and Driftwood. MMMMMM. I can just close my eyes and be transported to some South Pacific island, where the water is crystal clear and emerald green, and the sand is warm and white as sugar, and the Cabana boy brings me fruity drinks with umbrellas, after which he fans me with a big palmetto fan as I look at him through narrowed eyes and he smiles at me....oh, excuse me. I got carried away. Oh well, a girl can dream!

Oh, I didn't tell you! My friend Helen and I have joined a group on Facebook that has monthly Silhouette challenges. This should be fun! I missed the one for this month, but the one for next month has to involve fabric cut on your Cameo. So I've been mulling over what I want to do and I think I've come up with something. I plan to work on it this weekend, and I'll post pictures when it's done. Here's the card Helen did for this month's challenge.
Way cool, huh? :D Check out her blogs at ShadesofSafhire.blogspot.com and CalvaryCouponers.com

I probably should shuffle off to bed. No, wait, it's Friday night!!! Yay, stay up late night! So have a great Friday, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
How the heck did that happen? Well, my mother had some serious health issues and a couple of operations and that took quite a bit of my time, and needless to say, my thoughts were on her and not my blog. Then I've had 3 procedures on my fistula, one in May, one in August and one in December. Went on vacation to Myrtle Beach with my sister, which was lots of fun. But we had a very very sad occurrence in my family. My first cousin's wife passed away. She and I met in the 8th grade when we started high school, and I set them up on their first date when we were 17 years old. In July of this year they celebrated their 40th anniversary. Her illness was sudden and her passing was so hard on everyone. We miss her so.

I was going to make a resolution to actually keep up my blog, but my friend Carol had an interesting post on her blog about the difference between resolutions and goals, and when I read it, a lightbulb went off. Of course!!! Goals, not resolutions. Here's a link to her post about goals. I think you'll find it interesting.

http://cjmfcb.blogspot.com/2014/01/no-resolutions.html

I've been doing a bit of crafting with my Cameo. I've really gotten into the software and learned how to do quite a few things, and it is my GOAL to write up some little tutorials and post them here. :D So look for one in the next week or so.

I've also really been into cooking lately. My sister and I gave Mama a NuWave Oven for Christmas, and boy howdy, is that thing neat. Christmas Day we cooked our entire Christmas dinner in it - in about 2 hours! This weekend we cooked a roast in it in an HOUR. We also did sweet potatoes, roasted onions and roasted carrots. Tonight, though, I'm making a salad with the leftover rare roast beef, and I'm making a vinaigrette to go over it. My sister gave me a bunch of flavored oils and vinegars for Christmas and I've been having so much fun making stuff with them. Pioneer Woman, watch out!

We had snow yesterday/last night. We don't get a whole lot of snow here, so when it does snow, things pretty much come to a halt. I normally go to dialysis on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but I went Monday and yesterday so that I wouldn't have to brave the snow-covered roads today. I looked out the door this morning and there were kitty tracks all over the yard. Kinda spoiled that pristine snow look, ya know? Some of the prints made me think that Sasquatch had been through the yard, but on closer inspection, it seems it was just Charlie Harper, our BIG tom cat, who had been waltzing around the yard. And yes, he is named Charlie Harper after Charlie Sheen's character on Two and a Half Men. I'll let you figure out why :D

Speaking of kitties, we have 2 new ones - Wide Load and Ed T. Bat. More interesting names, you say? Well, let me explain. Wide Load was WIDE when she was born. I mean she had some serious junk in the trunk. Her back end was HUGE. We named the other kitten Edmund Hillary as he was such an explorer after his eyes opened. But one day I was looking at him and he looked just like a bat! Little pointy face, BIG pointy ears, so we started calling him Ed The Bat, which got shorted to Ed T. Bat. He's now known as T-Bat, or sometimes Bat Brain, depending on what he's doing at any given moment. But they are so much fun to watch. Wide Load is very much a snuggler and lovebug. T-Bat is all boy - doesn't want to be petted and held. Just fed! You will be glad to know that Wide Load has slimmed down and is now just a pretty little kitty. But the name will forever stick. I regret to report that T-Bat has a cold, and he's not feeling very well. He may have to go see the kitty doctor.

So that kind of brings you up to date with me. Hopefully I will meet my GOAL of keeping up with my blog from here on. Hope to 'meet' a lot of you soon!

I swear, I am addicted to my Cameo. I blame this on Carol. She showed me cards she had made with hers and I was hooked. Therefore, Carol is responsible for my addiction. :D

I've made cards, little boxes, little bags, little lanterns, some big lanterns - the list goes on and on. And THEN I discovered I can convert some files to .studio files to use with the Cameo. WELL, this has just opened up a whole 'nother avenue of stuff to make. So for the last 3 days, I've been downloading free files like a mad(wo)man. I can't stop! I need a 12 step program or something. Hello, my name is Morado and I'm a Cameo-holic.

Anyway, here's a peek at a few things I've made.

These are just a few things I've made, but I'm pleased with how they turned out.

In other news, my dialysis is going great. No more jelly legs, thank the Maker. That was SCARY.

My sister's coming to spend the weekend. I'm looking forward to that. No telling what we'll get into.

The adventures of Fuzz E. Butt also continue. She gets fluffier by the day. She is just so darn CUTE. She bats at everything that passes by her and that includes the other kitties, me, sunbeams, air......unfortunately, although it is January, she found a baby snake somewhere and brought it to the house. I DO NOT LIKE SNAKES. They freak me out. Things should have legs to move. Thank goodness this was a tiny baby snake, only about 4 inches long. But hey, a snake is a snake. <shiver>

I'm looking forward to NASCAR starting up again in February. Here's a way cool picture of my favorite driver's car. Gooooooo Jimmie!!

I must admit, I have a Jimmie Johnson poster and a Jimmie Johnson Boyd's Bear :D The bear lives on the top shelf of my desk

Well, I see I'm rambling and not saying anything of any importance, so I shall sign off for the night.
Well, it's been a busy few weeks. I had the embroidery machine, the sewing machine, and the Cameo humming! I made cute little boxes for the girls at dialysis, and filled them with candy, I made Christmas cards and Christmas tags, all with the Cameo. I made angel gift boxes with the embroidery machine, and put them together with the sewing machine.

Christmas was wonderful at our house. We had our usual grazing table for Christmas Eve - hot dips, cold dips, sausage balls, pigs in a blanket, cheese, cheese balls, crackers and chips. Then for Christmas dinner, we had cornish hens, dressing, corn pudding, copper pennies and yeast rolls. Santa was also very good to all of us. It was a wonderful time!

The only blemish on the holiday was that I had on way too much fluid when I went back to dialysis after not going for 3 days. Bad me, I will never do that again. I was short of breath and had 'jelly legs', so called because your legs feel like just that - jelly - and feel like they are going to buckle at any second. But thanks to the good ladies at dialysis, they got the fluid off and I felt a WHOLE lot better leaving dialysis than I did arriving!

My niece and her little boy were able to come on Thursday after Christmas. My niece is a nurse and usually has to work the holidays, so we usually don't get to see them til late January or early February, so it was a special treat to have them with us at Christmas. The litte Buckeroo is really growing. Gosh, he's almost 8! But he'll always be my little Buckeroo :) He got an XBox for Christmas, which his mother and I promptly took over to play WWE! It was a blast. Hmmmmmmmm.....I may need to see about getting one.

New Year's was quite. Not really a lot to do in a town of 1,000 people. Not like when I lived in Atlanta. Or Detroit. Or Philadelphia. :D But honestly I enjoyed the quiet. I needed time to rest and recharge after the whirlwind of the holidays.

I'll post some pictures of my craft projects in a few days, once I get them off the camera and resized.

Here's hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas season, and that you have a wonderful, happy 2013 :)

I haven't beeen checking on the orcs and trolls. Lord only knows what kind of havoc they have wreaked. However, I can't bother with them tonight, as a Steven Seagal movie is on, and watching Steven Seagal kick ass is a most fun thing!
I'm really behind on posting. Been busy the last few weeks, working on Christmas presents. I love this time of year. Sunday, our Dialysis Support Group had their Christmas party. Lots of food, then everyone sat around in the lobby and sang Christmas songs. It was a lot of fun. Then my mother, sister and I went to the Living Nativity one of the churches had. It was really great. They went to great lengths to make it authentic. They were all dressed in period costumes, and they welcomed you to Bethlehem. They had markets, carpenters, musicians, and animals.....the live camel made the whole trip worthwhile! Here's a picture of him.

Sorry it's blurry. For some reason my camera was acting up. It's supposed to take care of shakey hands while snapping the picture. Anyway, he was WAY cool :)

When we went past the Inn, the Innkeepers were outside and I asked if they had a room. They said no, they were sorry, no rooms. In fact, they'd had to send a young couple to the stable. And of course, Mary and Joseph were in the stable with the baby Jesus. There were young girls dressed as angels with these big filmy wings they were slowly waving. It was the best living nativity I've ever been to.

So I've been doing a lot of embroidery. I'll post pictures after Christmas since what I'm embroidering are gifts :D I've also been playing a lot with the Cameo, making Christmas cards and assorted Christmas thingies, like a scrolly tree you put a battery operated tea light under. It's way cute :)

Let me tell you about Fuzz E. Butt. She is a 3 month old kitten and she is......fuzzy :) Her siblings are just regular ole shorthairs, but Fuzz has luxurious long soft fluffy hair. So the other day, we open a can of tuna in oil, and decide to dribble the oil into the kitties' bowl, over their crunchies. Just as the oil starts flowing, Fuzz E. runs in and sticks her head under the oil, coating her head and neck. To add insult to the injury of being doused in tuna oil, the other kitties decide she smells SO enticing and start licking her. She tried to get away but they kept following her. Poor Fuzz! So I'm thinking, oh great, I have to bathe a CAT. But miraculously, she was really good. She didn't squirm or try to get away or scratch me or anything, so we got her all cleaned up and she's mostly back to normal. I don't think she'll get over the nearly cannibalistic actions of her fellow cats.

So that's basically what's been going on with me. I haven't even had time to check on the orcs and trolls! They've probably taken total control by now!
Wonderful, hectic, crazy December. Time for Santas and snowmen, tinsel and lights. I LOVE Christmas lights. The more, the better. Can't be too many for me. I can hardly wait to go looking at Christmas lights the week before Christmas. I just love all the colors and the festival feeling. So I'm about done with Christmas presents. Got a couple more to make, and then I'll be totally done. Then comes the wrapping part. I can sit in the same spot and not move and lose the scissors, then the tape, then the name tags. All the while singing along to Christmas music and sipping a holiday beverage.

Last week was sort of rough. Kidney disease causes a lot of problems, including bone loss. In your jaw (as well as other places). So I went to the dentist and they showed me the xrays. It's a wonder any of my teeth were still in!! Talk about bone loss!!! Thanks, kidney (I was born with just one), really appreciate this. Anyyyyway, the best thing to do was remove them (!!!!!!!!!) and get dentures. So here I sit with a now sparkling smile. Actually, I think I'm doing really well. I can eat pretty well, and I no longer sound like a drunk clown with a speech impediment. I'm wearing 'healing dentures' and after my gums heal and finish shrinking (wish my belly would do that!!) I will be fitted with permanent ones. So an even more sparkling smile then! However, having dentures was not something that was on my bucket list. I think somebody took my list and changed it! Thief! But, as with all things, ya gotta roll with the punches.

Today we took the little kittens to the vet. They all have an upper respiratory infection. Poor babies had to get shots and we have to give them pills, too. They were funny, though. We had all 3 of them in one carrier and when the vet would finish giving each one their shot, they zoomed back into the carrier. Then when we got home, I had to drag Peanut out. She wanted to stay in it. But they're all out now and taking naps. Here's Peanut and Jack playing.

So that's pretty much all that's going on around here. I'm gonna fire up the embroidery machine in a few minutes and finish up a couple of projects.

I haven't checked on the orcs and trolls in a few days. I better do that.

We went to my aunt and uncle's. Me, my mother and sister, my aunt and uncle, their children, their children's children and their children's children's children. Confused yet? :) Ok, aunt & uncle, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren :) Ok, the more I look at the word 'children', the more wrong it looks. Dontcha just hate that?

Back to Thanksgiving. Turkey, ham, potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, copper pennies, pineapple dressing, cornbread stuffing, butterbeans, harvard beets, turnip greens (gag), broccoli casserole, another broccoli dish, sweet potato casserole. Let us not forget the PINEAPPLE cake (YUM), coconut cake, lemon pie and pecan pie. It was a feast deluxe. Then it was time to sit around and talk, telling tales of gatherings of the past, parents telling stories of the funny things we did as kids. It was a most wonderful day.

Yesterday I had to go to dialysis, but it went well. I sat next to my favorite other patient there, and we chatted in between naps :)

Today, my mother, my sister and a friend, and I went to Forest, VA, to the Virginia Candle Company outlet store. OUTLET STORE!! BARGAINS! I did keep myself sort of under control, though. I only got 9 candles (I think) but oh such yummy smells. I was like a kangaroo on speed bouncing around the store. Smell this one! No, this one! OOOohhh, how about THIS one! Then we went to Bedford, VA, and had lunch in the old train station. I had a wonderful greek steak salad. Romaine lettuce, red onions, black olives, artichoke hearts, roasted red pepper strips, feta cheese and strips of rare steak, in a poppy seed dressing. It was wonderful. And dessert - red velvet cheesecake. It was SO yummy. Then off to find a little country store we ran across last year just by accident. They have homemade fried apples pies. They are to DIE for. So we loaded up on pies, peach bread, hoop cheese, apples, and scuppernong cider. It was a great day.

I've really been giving the Cameo a workout. I've made tons of cards and a couple of boxes and a luminary. I've also been working out the embroidery machine. I've made these:

They are SO cute. Made of felt, they fit over a battery operated tealight. They are adorable.

So that's pretty much been my week. I won't get into the argument I had with my nephrologist. Ya gotta be your own advocate for your health. Thank the good Lord above my dialysis nurses are the wonderful women they are. I just love them. They were up at the top of my 'thankful' list this Thanksgiving.

So keep on keeping on, fight the good fight, craft your butt off, and don't forget to eat dessert first :D
I unpacked it to make sure everything was in the box, but being as Friday was a dialysis day, I didn't set it up. Bur bright and early yesterday morning (I normally don't do bright and early!) I installed the software and got it set up. I am having SO much fun with it. Well, I am now. The mat you put your paper on to feed into the machine is sticky, which makes sense. Don't want your paper sliding around while the machine's cutting. But let me tell you, when you first use the mat, it's sticky like you wouldn't believe. I mean the paper STICKS. Permanently it seems when you're trying to get it off. But I persevered and now it's jussssssssst right. So NOW I'm having fun. So far I've made some cards and a little bag. I used to do all the cutting by hand and my hand would cramp from holding the scissors so long. No more. I actually look like I know what I'm doing now! Thanks for my early Christmas present, Mama!! Love you lots :)

It's gonna be busy around here for the rest of the month. Tuesday my sister and I are going to get our hair done, then out to lunch and SHOPPING!!!!!!!!! Thursday we are taking an elderly friend to the dentist, and having lunch out again. Of course, Monday, Wednesday and Friday are dialysis days. Except for the week of Thanksgiving, when I have to go Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. We are spending Thanksgiving with my aunt and uncle and cousins. I'm so looking forward to the huge feast I know we'll have and to spending time with family. Saturday after Thanksgiving is a trip to Virginia Candle Company's outlet store. Woohoo, candles! The next week I have a dreaded dental appointment, which I'm sure will take me weeks to get over. I so hate dental appointments. The week after that, it will be December, which means Santa will start packing the sleigh and browbeating the elves.

Let's talk food. Tonight I'm making a 'made up by me' pork chop dish. I'm going to braise my pork chops, then add a can of Progresso Meal Starters, portabella mushroom flavor and I think I will add a little Philadelphia Cooking Creme, Savory Garlic. I'll let you know how they turn out! I'm going to make Pineapple Dressing to take to my aunt's for Thanksgiving. If you like pineapple and haven't tried this side dish, you should! It's soooooo yummy. Here's the recipe:

I hear the Cameo calling me. I must obey.
Now it's scheduled for Saturday. WAH WAH WAH. And no, I don't need any cheese to go with my whine. I'd rather whine :) Although some nice brie with cranberries and walnuts would be rather tasty.

However, the delay in the Cameo gives me time to do some embroidery. So I've got the machine set up and ready to go and I'm working on some designs. I do love to hear the machine working. And there's something so satisfying about seeing a blank piece of fabric coming to life with strategically placed thread. It pretty well rocks :)

I've been playing a little with my clay. Haven't made anything yet. Just getting used to the feel of the clay and how much pressure to use to make shapes and stuff like that. But I have several things in mind I want to attempt to sculpt. Maybe I'll fit them somewhere in that 4000 years I'll need to do everything I want to :)

Yesterday was not a good day at Funtown. My legs cramped - big ouchies. And every time I'd stand up, my blood pressure would plummet. I looked like a yo-yo hopping up and down from the chair. Not even one of those sparkly yo-yo's, just a plain one. That the only thing you can do with it is go up and down. No walking the dog or other fun party tricks. Then we had our support group meeting. I think the support group is a GREAT idea. I just wish more patients came to it. The ones that in my opinion really need the support are the ones that don't come. They cut their sessions short (sometimes WAY short). There have been some times I've gotten off the machine early, but I do try to stay my full treatment. HELLO, I'm not ready to go meet Jesus and God and Elvis in person yet.

Anyway, on to more fun things. Tonight is taco night! I haven't made tacos in forever. Maybe I should wear a sombrero and pancho to get me in the mood. And I need a mariachi band! Ooooh and those half gallon margaritas!!!! Party time! Ok, it's really just gonna be homemade tacos and watching the Food Network while I eat. But there's mariachi music in my head! Ayyyyyyy-yiiiiiii-yi-yiiiiiiiiii!

Ok, gotta go work on embroidery designs. And perhaps a quick check on the orcs. I thought I heard them whispering about some sort of world takeover. I better go stop that.

Til later,
Lazy Sunday. Except today hasn't been TOO lazy. Ok, kinda lazy.

So what am I speculating about? WELL......I am getting a Silhouette Cameo and I can hardly wait. I already have tons of projects in mind. First I have to find a place for it to live. I'm thinking the craft table will likely be its home. Poor craft table. It's so loaded already. Well, heck, what's one more machine on it!? Wonder if I should reinforce the legs? I could be the Norm Abram of our town! Wait, I don't have a Rhode Island accent. Ok, scratch that. Maybe I'll be that guy who used to come on public TV that used no power tools. Did everything by hand. Went out in the woods to find old trees and limbs to make stuff from. Ok, scratch THAT, too. Guess I won't be a carpenter :)

Moving on. Second line of speculation. My niece and her little boy will be with us for Christmas. YAY. Usually she has to work (she is a nurse) so we don't get to see them til a few weeks after Christmas. So Christmas will be extra fun this year. Got our little Buckeroo some sports equipment he wanted, and a few other things.

Speaking of Christmas, I am over halfway done with my Christmas shopping already! I can't believe it. I do have some things I want to make, so gotta get busy on those. I don't want to making stuff on Christmas eve, acting like an elf on speed. Besides, I hate those little pointy shoes, so I better get busy. :)

So who's into Pinterest? I swear, I'll have to live about 4,000 years to cook and make everything I've pinned. And I'd have to spend two lifetimes' worth of wages to buy all the ingredients and materials. Perhaps I should cut my list down a tad. But there are so many neat things on Pinterest. Of course, I only spend 5 or 10 minutes looking at it. HAHAHAHA Ok, even I can't keep a straight face with that one :)

I've been doing a lot of paper crafting lately. I've really gotten into tea bag folding. So I have a ton of the little flowers made and nothing else done with them. BUT, once I get the Silhouette, look out! Cards, cards and more cards. Which I hope to sell on Etsy. Along with a ton of other stuff. Here's one thing I'd really like to make. I think they are so adorable.

Aren't they cute!? The wings fold open and you store your needles there. Great idea! Maybe I'll see about making up a pattern this week.

My big news of the day is that I finally got my blog pages links working, thanks to Helen! Thanks bunches, my friend!

This weekend was great. Saturday was my mother's birthday, and she wanted to go to Floyd, VA, to visit a friend, and to see the leaves. We drove part the way on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was SO pretty. ANDDDDDDDDDDD........a trip to Floyd HAS to include a stop at Schoolhouse Fabrics. It really is an old three story schoolhouse which now houses fabric and notions on all three floors. Can you say heaven?? I did manage to contain myself (to a degree) but I got a gorgeous 12 pack of Christmas fat quarters, several other pieces of Christmas fabric, and a stack of regular fabric. The ole sewing machine will be humming away soon :) I'll post pictures as I get projects done.

Funtown has been pretty good in the last week. No problems. YAY! But my favorite nurse, Carol, has been on vacation, so I haven't had anyone to talk crafting with while I sit there hooked up to my machine. But I think she's been having a great time on her vacation. I'm glad she did, but hurry up and get back to work, Carol!

Wow......it's 1 A.M. and I have to go to Funtown in the morning. Guess I better get my butt in the bed! Good thing I already took care of the orcs and trolls tonight!

Let me fill you in on the weekend. There's a little town not far from where I live (in fact it's the town I go to for dialysis) and there is a Masonic Home for Children there. This past weekend they had their Homecoming. A Shriners parade, a BBQ cookoff, and musical entertainment. Well, in the South we are very picky about our BBQ. Especially those of us who grew up with North Carolina BBQ. Nothing else like it anywhere. It's da bomb! As we walked up to the grounds to get a good spot for the parade, the smell of all that bbq and ribs and chicken cooking was enough to make you slap your grandma. I mean it smelled GOOD.

The parade was fun. Shriners in their costumes, driving their little vehicles. I was missing my brother in law. He was a Shriner and he had one of the little mini-rigs. But I bet he was watching from upstairs :) All was well until this one car came by with a hillbilly on it, who had a gun. Which he proceeded to fire. Right in front of me. Made me jump. If I didn't have kidney failure I probably would have wet my pants.

It was a bit chilly with the wind blowing, so after the parade we went back to the car to warm up for a bit. Then it was time to eat!!! MMMMMM MMMMMM. It was an all you can eat deal. WOOHOO! I had 3 different kinds of bbq, 2 different kinds of ribs, a piece of bbq chicken, and a piece of fried chicken. Well, not all at one time. I brought some of it home for dinner and it was still yummy then.

THEN, time for the music. While they were setting up the stage, I wandered over to the table where they were selling CDs. There was a guy there...white hair, white moustache and beard, wearing sunglasses. I heard him talking and thought 'wow, he sounds like T. Graham Brown', but the last time I had see him, he's been real heavy and this guy wasn't. So I went back to our seats and pointed him out to my sister and said 'I think that's T. Graham Brown'. Well, sure enough, it was. He was really looking good and he sounded even better. He hasn't lost a THING with his voice. I mean he belted those songs out. I was right on the front 'row' and got some good pictures of him. He sang for about an hour and a half, and then said he'd sign autographs. I hustled over to the table and he was so NICE. Very friendly and personable. I was like a 15 year old meeting a celebrity for the first time. I was grinning like a possum. I got to talk to him for a couple of minutes, got an autograph, AND my picture taken with him. Awesome!! But it really was a great time. So support your local Masons and Shriners. They do great things :)

So that's been my excitement for the week. Now I'm looking forward to the weekend. We're going to Floyd, VA, to Schoolhouse Fabrics. A 3 story former school now FILLED with fabrics and notions. OMG. I don't know if I can contain myself :)

I better go check on the trolls. I'm sure they're out of control by now.

Fortunately I'm feeling better, and dialysis has gone great so far this week. Yay!

Now that I feel better, I've got to finish getting my room back in order. That means moving the machines back to their living space and trying to organize my crafty and sewing supplies. Woe unto me. I am so not an organized person. Never have been, never will be. Doesn't bother me most of the time but occasionally I get that wild 'I'm gonna get organized!' thing. Fortunately, I'm usually able to beat it into unconsciousness and go on with my day :)

I've been crocheting. Still working on the spiderman web blanket and making crocheted snowflakes to put into my Etsy shop, which I hope to open this weekend. I'm seriously thinking of making some clay snowflakes as well. I've seen a few that were pretty neat and I think I can improve on the designs a bit. Conceited, aren't I?!

I'm also thinking of offering my free standing lace embroidered coasters for sale in the shop. What do you think?

There are 6 in the set. Watermelon, cherry, grapes, pineapple, strawberry and orange. What do you think?

The kittens are growing daily. There's one we have named Fuzz E. Butt. He's rather fluffy, but with all the rain we've had, he's having terrible hair days. Hmmmm. Maybe we should rename him Don King.

Well, I thought the organizing bug would be gone by now, but it's still hanging around, so I guess I should go at least put the embroidery machine back on the table.

And I've got to check on the orcs and trolls.
I have been sick since Tuesday about 5 PM. My tummy is very unhappy and that's enough said about that.

Let me tell you about this past weekend. My sister stayed with me while our mother was in Florida visiting friends. Things went well; we got a lot of stuff done, including rearranging my room. Lemme tell ya, that was NO picnic. You see, the kitty pulled down the curtain over the window behind my desk. BEHIND the desk. The only way to get to the window was to move the desk. Did I mention my crafting table was up against my desk? So, had to move the serger, the sewing machine and the embroidery machine off the table, then all the assorted crap also on the table, not to mention the stuff that was stored beneath the table. Then had to unload the desk. So now it looks like a whirlwind has been through. Twice. At least. Ok, we get the desk moved and it's really really wobbly, so I get down in the floor under it and discover that some of the screws to hold it together are missing. Now to go find a screwdriver and screws. Found. Back under the table. Hmmmmmm the electric screwdriver doesn't seem to be screwing the screw in. Go find a rachet screwdriver. Success!! Then to get the stepladder behind the desk and get the curtain back up. YAY. NOW let's move all this stuff back. Well, we got the desk moved back and the sewing/crafting table moved back, and got the stuff back in/on the desk (more neatly organized this time, I might add). However, all the machines are still on the other side of the room along with the assorted crap to go on the table. Fast forward to Tuesday when we go to the airport to pick up the Mumster and have lunch at Red Robin. Tuesday evening, said tummy starts acting up. Uh oh.

Now let me tell you about Saturday night. I go out on the porch to give the kitties their bedtime snack, and they're munching away, and I sat down to watch the baby kittens in their box. Suddenly I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked and there is a SKUNK coming up on the porch. I was going OH my God OH my God OH my God! Who expects a skunk to show up? Especially in such a brazen manner. You've never seen a fat girl move so fast in your life. I swear I had spring in my underwear and wings on my feet. I flew inside. The skunk meanwhile moseys over to the kitties' bowl and proceed to help himself. One of the half grown cats takes exception to this and smacks the skunk, who responds by raising his tail and making it really bushy. He lowered his tail after a few seconds and another cat takes a swipe at him. POOF, tail up and bushy again. It was at this point that I just shut the door and went back into my room.

So between skunk fright and tummy troubles, I've done nothing this week. Sure hope I feel better tomorrow.

I haven't even checked on the orcs and trolls. I bet they're taken over by now.

Today was D Day, of course. I seem to have slept through a lot of it for some reason. Ok, I always sleep SOME during treatment but I seemed to sleep though MOST of it today. Then my BP dropped. I so hate that. Regular dialysis just makes me a bit tired but when my BP drops, I feel totally wrung out. Not a fun feeling.

Tonight was the premier of Dancing With The Stars All Stars. I don't know yet who I'm going to pull for. I really like Mark Ballas for the pros but I'm not real crazy about Bristol Palin. I think they could have given Mark a better partner. And they gave Tristan McManus Pamela Anderson as a partner! WHAT were they thinking. I'm afraid Tristan will be gone tomorrow night after the first elimination.

I have to give the lowdown about my weekend but it will have to wait until tomorrow when I feel better. Helen and I are making progress, though, with our business plans. We have a website and Bob is working on that for us. We've got several of the graphics made up and I think we're making great progress.

And now, I'm going to fall into my bed <strike>with a bag of Cheetos</strike> with the remote and drift off to sleep to the sounds of The Golden Girls.
